Ponds, Water Allocation and Rules: Historical Exploration of the Development and the Disputes over Water Conservancy in Southeastern Guangxi

清代桂东南伴随着水利事业的快速发展,水利纠纷大量出现,并逐渐成为了影响桂东南社会经济发展的一大问题。为减轻和消除这一问题所带来的影响,官方和民众都采取了相对应的措施,如官方备案、裁定、民众订立规条等,但实际效果却不甚理想。

Water conservancy of the Southeastern Guangxi have been significant and rapidly developed in the Qing Dynasty. At the same time, more and more disputes over water conservancy were coming. It＇ s became a serious problem affecting the socio-economic development in southeastern Guangxi. To reduce and eliminate the impact of the issues, official and public have taken corresponding measures, for example setting rules, official record and judgment, but the effect is not ideal.
