In 1948, when writing a chronicle for ＂Modulor I＇, Le Corbusier mentioned a small house that he had seen on his discovery journey of Germany before his Voyage d＇Orient. He showed a great interest of this house＇s geometrical regulatory lines, and with it, made a detail account of Karl Ernst Osthaus＇ new housing experiments in Hagen. In the Spring of 1916, the author of this article and two young architects also embarked on a journey of discovery to Hagen to pay a visit to the house remembered by Le Corbusier, and those wonderful works done by Peter Behrens and Henry Van de Velde around the 1910s. This travelogue recounts the memorable encounters and reflections in Hagen, which contains some new observations on the early modern architecture of Germany and a homage to Le Corbusier＇s journey of discovery.
