Cultural Information Service in the Rural Reconstruction Project of America——A Case Study of the Rural Information Center of the NAL

文章基于美国农业部国家农业图书馆主导的农村信息中心网站及相关文献,介绍美国农业部农村信息中心的概况、运行特点及文化信息服务,分析该中心在推动美国农村地区社会文化发展中的作用,以及对我国文化扶贫中的信息服务观念体系、制度建设和实践探索的借鉴意义。建议发挥政府在文化信息服务中的战略性推动作用,以专业化信息服务机构为依托,激发人的创造力。

Based on the Rural Information Center （RIC） website sponsored by the National Agricultural Library of the USDA and the relevant literatures, the paper introduces the general situation, operating characteristics of RIC and its cultural information services, analyzes the role of RIC in promoting the American rural society, culture development and the experience in information service concept, system construction and practice which we should learn in cultural poverty alleviation. The government should play a strategic role in the cultural information services, taking specialized information service institutions as the hacking to inspire people＇s creativity.
