暨南大学图书馆创立及沿革考

Research on the Foundation and Evolution of Library of Jinan University

关于暨南大学图书馆的创立时间,历来有多种说法,校史语焉不详,亦未见专文讨论。文章根据暨南大学沿革,略述1949年前暨南大学图书馆的设立情况,梳理辨析材料。研究表明:暨南大学图书馆创立于1918年10月6日,其源于暨南学堂和暨南学校的阅书报室。

Opinions regarding there has not a single article to the establishment of the library of Jinan University was founded to the exact date of the foundation of library of Jinan University differ. Up till now, expound this issue. This paper, based on the history of Jinan University, outlines before 1949, and analyzes the relevant information, in order to verify that library on October 6th, 1918, which originated from Jinan School and Jinan reading room.
