Survey on Work Situation of Couriers in Beijing

随着电子商务的发展,快递业也呈现出快速增长的态势。通过调查发现,北京市快递员劳动强度大、工作时间长,用工方对其考核较严格,却很少给予加班补偿。快递员最大的苦恼是遇到恶意投诉及生活中属于自己的时间不足。六成以上快递员不太愿意或不愿意继续做下去。快递业的规范、质量提升与快递员劳动保护的加强需要快递企业、政府、社会各界以及快递员自身的共同努力。

Express industry is growing rapidly along with development of electronic business. According to a survey, couriers in Beijing are working for long hours with great labor intensity. They are assessed strictly but seldom receive overtime pay. Their biggest headaches are malicious complaint and lack of private time. More than 60% of couriers are not willing to keep working in this industry. Regulation of express industry, promotion of service quality, and strengthening labor protection of couriers need joint efforts of express industry, governments, couriers as well as different levels of the society.
