6世纪前期北方地区维摩诘经变的演变——兼论与南朝佛教图像的关联

The Evolution of Vimalakīrti Buddhist Story Painting in Early 6th century Northern Areas

维摩诘经变是佛教美术本土化的变相,也是南北朝时期流行的佛教图像之一。相比5世纪图像,6世纪前期维摩诘经变样式发生明显的变化,具体表现在维摩诘形象的汉化、隐几、隐囊的出现以及画面情节的丰富等方面。本文根据图像细节分析及文献记载,推测6世纪前期维摩诘经变样式可能源自南朝佛教图像。

Vimalakīrti Buddhist Story Painting was not only the localization of Buddhist art, but also the popular Buddhism images in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Compare to the images in the 5th century, the style of Vimalakīrti Buddhist Story Painting had been changed clearly in early 6th century, such as the sinicization of Vimalakīrti＇s looking, the appearances of Chinese table and cushions and the enrichment of story painting＇s details, etc. The article suggests that the changing might inspired by Buddhism images of the Southern Dynasty.
