British and American navy officials who were stationed in the lower reaches of Yangtze River had observed the military, economic and social situations of Nanjing. Their telegraph texts recorded a series of Japanese atrocities in Nanjing such as slaughtering, robbing, act of arson and bombing, including parts of the dairy of an American preacher Fitch, which described what British and American people did for the protection and assistance for Chinese refugees in the International Safety Zone. T After the catastrophe, these British and American navy officials were still concerned about the economic recovery and the properties of the UK and the US in Nanjing, and they delivered food and medical supplies to graphs, providing ironclad proofs of refugee camps, and authentic details of the massacre were kept in their tele-all the crimes committed by Japanese troops in Nanjing.
