New Way of “Post-Modernism” City Development:An Interpretation of Humanism

城市化是实现现代化的必由之路,在"功能主义"和"理性主义"为主导的现代主义发展观主导下,中国城市化面临发展危机。城市的发展需要后现代主义中的"人文主义"观念的指引,并从人文城市、文脉继承、生态伦理、多元价值、城市美学五大方面开辟"人文主义"理念下的城市发展新路径。

Urbanization is the necessary way to realize modernization. Guided by the modernism development of ＂functionalism＂ and ＂rationalism＂ the Chinese cities have gotten rapid development for more than 30 years. At the same time, some deep contradictions and problems have gradually appeared in urban development which needs a new idea to guide the direction. Introducing humanistic ideas of post modernism the paper puts forward corresponding suggestions from five aspects including humanistic city, contextual inheritance, ecological ethics, multi-value and urban aesthetics which could be a useful exploration to the healthy development for Chinese urbanization.
