摘要
公示语作为城市服务的一种重要形式,向公众展现着城市的软实力。随着山西知名度的不断提高,国际旅游人数也越来越多,景区公示语的英译更是发挥了重要的社会作用。然而,我省旅游景区公示语的英译现状却不尽人意,错误翻译、逐字翻译、语法错误等现象尤其严重。文章在对山西旅游景区公示语翻译实地调研的基础上,结合中英公示语各自的写作特点与德国翻译目的论,从语言性翻译失误、语用功能性翻译失误、文化性翻译失误三个方面分析了山西旅游景区公示语的英译错误,并提出了解决方案。
Shanxi Province is an ideal place to develop tourism because of its rich tourist resources,which attracts a number of foreign visitors every year. However,at present,mistranslation,literal translation and grammatical errors of public signs can be easily found in tourist attractions,which not only bring about the negative impacts on Shanxi Province,but also seriously damage the country's international image. Therefore,it is fairly vital to figure out the Chinese- English translation errors of Public Signs for tourism and find out the appropriate strategies to translate them effectively. Based on the Skopos theory,the author analyzes three kinds of translation errors of Public Sign for tourism in Shanxi and manages to propose solutions for them.
