Reasons Why Kong Yingda Only Taking Zuo Zhuan to Explain Chun Qiu

唐代初期,孔颖达奉唐太宗之命编撰《五经正义》,在编撰《春秋正义》时独选《左传》释《春秋》,对《左传》极为推重。表面看和学术发展有关系,其实还有更深层次的原因,即为迎合唐太宗的治国需要和个人需要。其中个人需要和"玄武门之变"有着密切的关系。

In the early Tang Dynasty, Kong Yingda accepted Tang Taizong ＇ s command to write the book Wu jing zheng yi.
