Early Communication of the Wave Optics Knowledge in China

本文考察"波动光学知识"在中国的早期传播历程。在对相关领域的研究文献进行评析与综述的基础上,对这一历史过程进行全面的梳理:首先,介绍"波动光学知识"传入中国的历史背景;其次,探寻"波动光学知识"传入中国的途径与形式;第三,对于有关"波动光学知识"的传播内容进行总结,尤其是"以太"与"光浪"基本概念以及"两说之争"内容的中文翻译,从而得出对于这一传入过程特点的认识;最后,阐述"波动光学知识"对晚清知识分子产生的影响。

This article reviews the early communication process of the wave optics knowledge in China. Based on analyzing, evaluating and summarizing the relevant areas research documents, it systematically reviews this historicalyl process overall. Firstly, I present the historical background of the wave optics knowledge introduced into China. Secondly, I search out the pathways and forms of the wave optics knowledge introduced into China. Thirdly, I sum up relevant dissemination content of the wave optics knowledge, especially the basic concept of Ether and Light, and the Chinese translation of the substance of the debate on the Particle Theory and the Wave Theory, thereby take cognizance of the traits of this process. Lastly, I expound the wave optics knowledge＇ s influence on intellectual in late Qing Dynasty.
