Error Analysis and Correcting Strategies of Impromptu English Speeches by Non-English Majors

个体即兴状态下的口语表达能力通常弱于有准备状态下的口语表达能力,在即兴状态下个体更易呈现错误表达。基于非英语专业大学生英语即兴观点表述时输出的具体文本,文章分析归纳了这一口语形式下常见的错误类别,指出产生这些错误的一个重要原因是说话者的母语负迁移,并提出了规避这些错误的策略手段,即加大简单表达输入的频度、反复梳理易错点、合理选择纠错时机、营造舒适的纠错氛围、建立渠道畅通的纠错机制。

Individuals are usually less competent while giving an impromptu speech than a well-prepared speech,and mistaken expressions are more likely to occur when an impromptu speech is delivered.Based on the texts transcribed from the impromptu English speeches of non-English-major college students,this paper analyzes and summarizes the common errors of related impromptu speeches,points out that negative transfer of mother tongue is a major reason for making these errors,and presents the strategies concerning the avoidance of those errors,namely,increasing the input frequency of simple expressions,summarizing the usage of errorprone expressions,choosing the suitable timing,creating comfortable atmosphere and establishing an effective and smooth mechanism for correcting errors.
