Discussion on Wind-Drugs in the Treatment of Tumor

风药具有升阳调气、引经报使、祛风胜湿、开通玄府等功效。认为"内风暗旋"是肿瘤的主要病理特点,肿瘤患者机体因正虚邪实、气血阴阳失调,导致气机逆乱,引动内风的产生。内风又易与积聚之邪相和,挟痰、毒、瘀流窜全身脏腑经络,终致"稽留不去"而为患。提出风药在肿瘤治疗中发挥着调节气机、扶助正气,引导药物直达病所,针对邪实辨证治疗等作用与优势,可为临床肿瘤治疗提供新思路。

The functions of wind-drugs are as follows： to elevate Yang and regulate Qi,to direct herbal actions to the diseased site or meridian,to dispel wind and overcome dampness,and to open Xuanfu（ sweat pore）. We regard＂Neifeng Anxuan（ secret whirling of internal wind） ＂as the main pathological character of tumor. Because of the asthenia of healthy Qi and the sthenia of pathogenic Qi as well as the imbalance of Qi,blood,Yin and Yang,the Qi movement of the tumor patients get disturbed,which induces the formation of internal wind. The internal wind,easily combined with the pathogenic accumulations and gatherings,could run through the Zang,Fu,meridians and collaterals all over the body together with the phlegm,the toxin and the stasis. Finally,these factors＂detain and not leave＂,and result in diseases. We propose that,in the treatment of tumor,the wind-drugs could regulate Qi movement and strengthen body resistance and direct herbal actions to the diseased site. We could also perform syndrome differentiation aimed at the sthenia of pathogenic Qi. Through all these,we could have more ideas for treating cancer in clinic.
