The cultural identity is related to the individual’s self-attribution and spiritual destiny. The uncertainty and division of cultural identity of individuals bring themselves anxiety and rootless sense. Toni Morrison,a contemporary American black woman writer,she feel that black people ’ s forgetting their ethnic cultural history caused their self-loss in the end. Through the historical evolution of the black ethnic identity,she tries to construct African American cultural identity in the mainstream of whites’ culture.
