陇南中共地下党自1938年底创建第一个党小组至1949年底陇南全境解放,先后在徽县、武都、成县、两当、康县、礼县、西和、舟曲、岷县等9县建立党组织,发展党员4800余人,组建拥有800多名游击队员的武装力量。党组织在艰苦的环境下不断发展壮大,发动和依靠群众,正确执行上级指示,广泛打击反动势力,支援解放大军南下,为陇南解放事业做出了突出贡献。
