关于英美学者质疑马克思文化理论之辨析

An Analysis of Questioning of Marxist Cultural Theory by British and American Scholars

英美学者关于"马克思没有文化理论"的说法,涉及如何科学理性地看待唯物史观体系特别是马克思1859年《〈政治经济学批判〉序言》这样的重大问题。必须承认《序言》本身存在忽视文化复杂性的缺陷,但从马克思主义体系的完整性来看,马克思1857年《导言》以及恩格斯晚年书信基本上弥补了1859年序言的不足。鉴于1859年序言的独立性和客观影响及其忽视文化复杂性的缺陷未能消解,此后的马克思主义文化哲学构建应该在全面弄清事实的基础上解决这一问题。

The assumption made by British and American scholars that Marx did not develop cultural theory is related to the question of how to observe with scientific and rational view the materialistic historical system, especially major issues such as Marx＇s Preface to Critique of Political Economy（1859）. It is necessary to acknowledge that the Preface itself has the demerit of neglecting cultural complexity, but judging from the completeness of the Marxist system, the Introduction of 1857 by Marx and the correspondences of Engels in his later years had basically made up for the demrit of the 1859 Preface. In view of the independent nature and objective influence of the Preface of 1859 ,as well as the demerit of neglecting cultural complexity, the subsequent construction of Marxist cultural philosophy should be based on a comprehensive understanding of all facts so as to find a solution to this issue.
