Can Chengdu Be A Great Ancient Capital Compared with Anyang,Nanjing and Hangzhou?

大古都作为一种历史文化品牌,区别于一般古都。近20年来关于大古都的讨论始终不绝于耳。当中原主要古代都城和江南的南京、杭州,甚至西北的大同等城市都被列为大古都之后,有关成都是否也应列为大古都开始成为话题。本文主要通过对成都与安阳、南京和杭州三大古都的自然环境与地理位置、都城历史积年、城市历史地位、当代发展等方面进行比较,认为成都具备列为大古都的基本条件,成为中国大古都当之无愧。

Great ancient capital,viewed as a kind of historical and cultural brand,is distinguished from the general ancient capital.Over the past 20 years,discussion on the great ancient capital could always be heard without end.Whether Chengdu should be listed as a great ancient capital begins to becomea popular topic while the main ancient capitals of the Central Plains,Nanjing and Hangzhou in southern China,and even Datong in northwest have been listed as great ancient capitals.This dissertation considers that Chengdu is basically qualified to be a great ancient capital by comparing the natural geographical environment,capital-founding history,urban historical status and contemporary development with Anyang,Nanjing and Hangzhou.Chengdu therefore is worth ascending into the ranking of the Chinese great ancient capital.
