Based on the principle of heaven and earth, its theory of Yin- Yang, auspiciousness-inauspiciousness and the generative power of life, constitutes the unique ideological connotation of Zhouyi＇s study on gentleman. From the transformation among different ontologies, the Book of Changes finally establishes the system of the ontological principle of life, which still has some positive i- deological revelation to the construction of the gentleman doctrine in our time.
