Initial Analysis of Dual Connectivity Technology and Its Application

摘要 双连接(Dual Connectivity)技术在3GPP Release12被引入,主要用来解决密集组网非理想回传场景下的系统问题。双连接技术不仅进行了控制面增强解决移动性问题,也兼具用户面增强方案来提升单终端吞吐量。通过介绍双连接引入的背景,得出双连接技术的必要性,并对该技术方案进行介绍,对标准进展进行概述,并结合最新的5G进展,指出双连接技术框架的重要性。 Dual connectivity(DC)was introduced in 3GPP Release 12,which is mainly used to address the problems brought by dense deployment and non-ideal backhaul. DC has the benefits of both control plane and use plane,in which CP solved the mobility issues and UP settled the user throughput improvement. It introduces the background of the DC,analyzes the necessity of the DC technology,focuses on the technical solutions and summarizes the standardization progress. Combined with the progress of 5G,it gives the importance of DC framework.
