从释义派翻译理论看当前英文电影片名的另译

摘要 英文电影的大众化使人们对影片名的翻译提出了更高的要求。兼具文学性、跨文化性和广告性的电影片名决定了其翻译具有特殊性。因此在传统的音译、直译和意译不能很好诠释这一特殊性时,"另译"这一策略走进了译者的视线。文章引入释义派的翻译理论,从语言的释义、重新表达及其证实过程,结合近年来部分影片名的译文,对影片名"另译"的可行性进行分析,提出"另译"是提炼影片内容,实现影片名功能的有效翻译手段。 People have raised higher requirements to the translation of English movie titles with the popularization of English movies. The translation of such titles is distinctive, since they are not only literature concerning cross-cultural acts, hut also ads. Thus "Creative Interpretation" comes into the sight of the translators' when the traditional transliteration, literal translation and free translation could not meet the need of the requirements. The text introduced the interpretive theory. It explored the feasibility of "creative interpretation" approach by testing it in the procedures of the theory, which concerning language comprehension, re- expression and verification, and by applying the approach to recent movie title translations. "Creative interpretation" is an effective translating means to summarize the contents and achieve the functions of movie titles.
