A Review of the World's Political and Economic Situation in 2016

2016年,世界政治经济形势出现了引人注目的新特征,表现为很长一段时间内蓬勃进展的全球化遭遇一系列的挫折和反制,包括脱欧公投、贸易保护主义抬头、各国经济和国际贸易陷入增长乏力甚至增速倒退等,大国关系向潜在的紧张对立转化,恐怖主义袭击的频率增加和扩散,资本主义生产方式固有的问题加剧,西方的政治智慧衰退。

There have been some new features in political and economic development of the world in 2016. Firstly,a series of setbacks and reactions towards the globalization have occurred,such as,Brexit,the return of trade protectionism,lower down of the economic growth and the international trade,big powers relations move towards potential hostility,the increase and spread of the terrorist attacks,the exacerbation of the problems innate with the capitalist mode of production and the degradation of western political wisdom,etc.. Proceeded from Marxist viewpoint and approach,this essay tries to analyze the background of these phenomena,and compares the two globalizations in the 19 th century and the 20 th century from a long historical perspective,and finally put forward some suggestions concerning the current international politics and global governance.
