摘要
《威尼斯商人》是莎士比亚著名的喜剧之一。然而这一出"喜剧",却自始至终笼罩着一层"忧愁"的气息。看似敌对、冲突的安东尼奥和夏洛克两人,在认识、确证自我时,兼具沉重、忧郁的特质。这层忧郁的迷雾背后,反映出在人文主义运动的大背景下,安东尼奥在认识自我时的撕裂,"异邦人"夏洛克在确证自我以及本民族神圣性时的冲突。
The Me rchant of Venice is one of Shfikespefire's famous comedies. However, the " comedy" is shrou-ded in " sadness" from the beginning to the end. Seemingly hostile and conflicting,Antonio and Shylock both have attributes of sadness in self cognition and affirmation, which reflects the contradiction in Antonio’s self perception in the context of humanism movement,and the conflict in alien Shylock's affirmation of himself and the holiness of his nation.
