摘要
面对同样的主题"雾",中国作家茅盾创作了抒情散文,使用象征手法来消心中块垒,美国诗人卡尔·桑德堡则写下了意象小诗,借用意象来具体描摹雾的形态。而对于这两位名家精作的广泛传播,翻译可以说发挥了不可小觑的作用。张培基对茅盾抒情散文的英译和李正栓对桑德堡意象诗的中译各擅胜场,都实现了对原作精髓的呈现与传达。
Given the same fog, Chinese writer Mao Dun creates a lyric prose in which symbolism is used to express his feelings, while the American poet Carl Sandburg writes an imaginational poem in which images are used to describe fog. The spread of the two masters' works and translation plays an important role. This paper selects the English version by Zhang Peiji of Mao Dun's lyric prose and the Chinese version by Li Zhengshuan of Sandburg's imaginational poem as samples.
