Fire detection and alarm system （NI） is very important for the nuclear safety. This paper introduces the system function and combination of Fire detection and alarm system （ NI ） in nuclear power plant, and expatiate the equipment type selection and layout. Compared with the reference power plant, the system had made a series of improvements, which enhance the functionality and reliability greatly and provide useful reference for the fire alarm system design and optimization in the three generation of nuclear power plant.
