摘要
自溶素是由细菌本身产生的能够水解细菌细胞壁的内源性蛋白水解酶,是一种共价结合物,参与细菌许多重要的生理活动。本文主要介绍了肺炎链球菌自溶素LytA、自溶素参与的生物学效应、自溶素的致病机理、自溶素与自溶的关系及其在新型抗菌药物方面的开发应用等内容。
Autolysin of Streptococcus pneumoniae is a type of endogenous enzyme that hydrolyzes bacterial cell walls. Autolysin is a surface-associated protein and is involved in many significant physiological activities, such as cell division, cell-to-surface adhesion, bacterial self-digestion, and cell wall turnover. This review describes the biological effect and pathogenic role of autolysin as well as the correlation between autolysis and LytA, an autolysin-encoding gene of S. pneu-moniae.
