摘要
基于中国综合社会调查数据,研究采用同期群视角实证考察了教育扩张对教育代际传递的影响。结果发现,没有充足证据表明教育扩张有助于打破教育代际传递。因为当把教育扩张、家庭背景、教育和初职社经地位置于同一个框架下分析时,一方面,教育扩张没有降低教育的社经地位回报,教育的社经地位回报在不断增强;另一方面,教育扩张没有显著改善教育机会不均等,父母教育水平等家庭背景越好,子女教育水平越高,从而形成了教育代际传递的恶性循环。
Based on the Chinese General Social Survey, this research studies the impact of higher educational expansion on the intergenerational transmission of education from the cohort perspective. It was found that educa- tional expansion seemed ineffective in breaking the intergenerational transmission of education. When we inte- grated family background, education and socioeconomic status, we found that educational expansion did not de- crease the socioeconomic status returns of education, which have been increasing steadily, but aggravated the inequalities in education. Better educated parents and better family backgrounds are more likely to have better educated children, which perpetuates the inequality in the intergenerational transmission of education.
