学术著作翻译中的参考文献处理方式--以《中国少数民族人类起源神话研究》英译本为例

学术性作品须引用大量参考文献以提高学术观点的可信度。因而,在中华学术外译中,参考文献的翻译也成为了较为常见的现象之一。但在翻译实践中,针对参考文献翻译的相关规范尚不健全,导致一些学术类翻译著作在对文内引文和出处信息的处理上存在随意性,给读者阅读和检索信息带来了很多不便。因此,参考文献的翻译成为中华学术外译中值得关注的翻译问题。文章以作者参与的中华学术外译项目《中国少数民族人类起源神话研究》英译本中参考文献的处理问题为例,探讨了在学术著作翻译中参考文献的翻译方法,以期为同类问题提供借鉴。

A large number of literatures are cited in academic works in order to improve the credibility of academic viewpoints. Thus, the translation of cited literature becomes one of the common phenomenon in foreign translation of Chinese academic works. However, due to the imperfect translation norms of the translation of cited literature in translation practice, some translated academic works treat quotation and reference information casually, which brings inconvenience to reading and information retrieval. Therefore, the translation of cited literature becomes a matter of concern. Based on the translation of cited literature oftheC-ETranslationof＂AStudyofAnthropogenicMythologyofChi neseEthnicGroups,＂thisessay discusses the translation methods of cited literature in the translation of academic works, hoping to provide reference for similar problems.
