On Marcuse's One-dimensional Culture:An Interpretation of "One-dimensional Man"

马尔库塞认为在单向度社会中,文化领域存在着压抑性的俗化趋势。文学中的某些重要的观念与形象表明技术的进步会导致"高层文化"中的对立因素和超越性因素的消失,"高层文化"将逐渐屈从于当代工业社会发达地区的俗化趋势。本文还将借助马尔库塞对文化领域封闭所造成的不幸意识的征服解析中国网络文学蓬勃发展过程中的现状,并进一步探讨中国网络文学的发展趋势。

Marcuse holds that the trend of repression and vulgar- ization exists in tile culture field in a one-dimensional society. Some important concepts and images in hterature indicate that technological progress will lead to the disappearance of contra- dictory factors and transcending factors in ＂high-level culture＂, so that ＂high-level culture＂ will gradually submit to the trend of vulgarization in developed areas of contemporary industrial soci- ety. With the help of Marcuse＇s conquest of the misfortune con- sciousness caused by the block in the culture field, this paper analyzes the prosperity of China＇s network literature, and further explores the development trend of China＇s network literature.
