Through the classification and interpretation of the im- ages of ＂trees＂ in the famous novel ＂The Color Purple＂ by Ahce Walker, this paper analyzes the changes of the images of ＂trees＂ in the novel and the reasons, coming to the conclusion that the changes correspond to the growth of the heroine Celie. Based on this, the writer explores Alice Walker＇s beautiful vision of harmo- ny and equality presented in ＂The Color Purple＂.
