In order to save the western philosophy,a rational enterprise,from crisis,it is necessary to redefine metaphysics and to explore the logical changes of rational paradigm. The 'rationality'foundation of reason and the 'legitimacy'foundation of metaphysics are integrated into the understanding of human nature. And the evolution logic of rational paradigm is not only historically but also logically consistent with the trend of metaphysics. It is by systematically illustrating the evolution logic of rational paradigm that we are permitted not only to understand the basic structure of the history of metaphysics and the inherent bases of the various types of patterns of metaphysics,but also to clarify the characteristics of metaphysics and its future.
