A Study on Classified Discussion Thought

Mathematics education should train student to grasp the essence and thoughts of mathematics. As one of the basic mathematical thoughts, classified discussion is of great signifi-cance for the cultivation of mathematical talents. This paper sum-marizes the theoretical origin, application field and development situation of classified discussion thought. Combining the current education practice, starting from the basic theory education, this paper makes a comprehensive study on classified discussion thought, and elaborates its role and significance in promoting the sustainable development of mathematics education in China.
