The World from Eyes of Oscar: A Brief Analysis on Narrative Perspective in "The Tin Drum" of Günter Grass

君特·格拉斯是德国当代最为重要的作家之一。他的作品以语言犀利、想象力丰富、视角独到、人物形象刻画具有张力所见长,在当代世界文学之林,尤其是战后文学中占有重要的地位。1959年问世的长篇小说《铁皮鼓》令他名声大噪。《铁皮鼓》与之后的《猫与鼠》和《狗年月》并称为《但泽三部曲》,被认为是德国战后文学的里程碑,成为了一面反映当代德国社会的镜子,而他本人也被誉为"德国的道德良心"。本文以长篇小说《铁皮鼓》为文本,分析作品中独特的叙事视角,探究作者立意构思的精妙之处。

Günter Grass was regarded as one of the most impor-tant authors in the present age of Germany. His works were well known for trenchant dictions, fantastic imaginations, unique per-spective and vivid portrayal of personalities as well, which pos-sess an irreplaceable position in the whole literary world esp. af-ter the World War II. The novel“The Tin Drum”in 1959 made his name widely known and brought him great fame with the sub-sequent works ＂Cat and Mouse＂ and ＂Dog Years＂, which were called“Danzig Trilogies”and were seen as landmark of Germany in the age of postwar. With these honors, he was called with re-spect as the conscience of Germany. The novel＂The Tin Drum＂is to set up as the blueprint-text of this article, whose particular narrative perspective will be analyzed in order to make a research on the ingenious conception of the work.
