The white slag effect of LF refining furnace would directly affect the surface quality of casting blank and rolling steels. It is introduced the forming procedure of white slag, analyzed the influence of basicity, oxidation, viscosity on the white slag, analyzed the influence of LF furnace refining function on quality of casting blank and rolling steels with beam blank and H - type steel rolling as example. The process optimization measures are worked out, the refining function of LF furnace completely realized, the product quality improved.
