On Translation Criticism of Ethnic Classics:An Introspection in the Context of Globalization

全球化可能是当下的最大社会现实和学术思想研究的最大语境,论文在系统解析民族典籍翻译"特殊性"的基础上,指出我国当下的民族典籍翻译战略应该由全球化这一宏观语境参数获得规约性依据,跳出一以贯之的、单维的结构主义方法论,在民族性与世界性、经典化与大众化之间获得制约与平衡。这是一个涉及民族典籍翻译的系统性与生态性问题,值得民族典籍翻译批评反思并重视。

Globalization is probably the biggest social reality and hence the largest context for academic research in current society.Based on a systemic analysis of the “ particularity” of ethnic classics translation, the paper argues that our present translation strategy of ethnic classics should, ridding itself of the pervading but sin-gle-dimensional methodology of structuralism, obtain conventionalization basis with the macro context of global- izationas parameters,get corresponding constraints and balance between nationality and cosmopolitanism, and between canonization and popularization.This issue concerns both the ecology and the systematization of ethnic classics translation,worthy of reflection and consideration on the part of translation criticism of ethnic classics.
