摘要
作为一种解经方法,格义用儒道经典中的概念来解释佛经术语,为佛教概念的普及提供了便利,但其在方便理解的同时也出现了背离佛教思想的倾向。随着道安等人提出的"附文求旨"的解经原则的确立,加上建立在《阿含》《毗昙》《般若》等经论之上的佛教概念体系的建立和佛教内在理解路径的畅通,格义也就失去了存在的价值而逐渐淡出中国佛教的视野。
As a kind of exegesis method, geyi(concept-matching), or interpreting Buddhism in Confucian and Taoist terms, facilitated the popularization of Buddhism concepts. However, it also tended to produce interpretations that deviate from the original Buddhist thoughts. With the establishment of "Enclosing and Seeking Truth" proposed by Master Tao'an and others as the exegetical principle, and with the reception of Buddhist terms based on the " āgama ", " Abhidharma " and " Prajā pāramitā-sūtra ", geyi gradually lost its value as an exegetical method in Chinese Buddhism studies.
