革命老区既是一个人文地理概念,也是一个经济地理概念;老区精神既不等同于中国共产党的革命精神,也不是各个根据地精神的总汇,而是红色基因与时代精神的集成;革命老区发展的出路既不在于继续发展农耕文明,也不是追赶工业文明,而是要在大力弘扬老区精神,打造精神文明高地,增强老区发展内生动力的同时,铸造绿色科技体系,围绕低碳经济发展,培养创业创新人才,争创生态文明新区,实现老区经济文化社会的跨越式发展。
