从第一届雅典奥运会至今,现代奥运会已走过一个多世纪的历程,在"更高、更快、更强"的奥运口号感召下,各国运动员都在通过不懈努力,逐渐提高运动成绩,而且人类运动极限一次次被挑战。与此同时,奥运会倡导和平与多元文化的和谐,但就在这100多年间,世界战火并没有一刻停止,冷战乃至地区冲突导致的国家利益与不同文化价值观之间的矛盾似乎并没有因为奥运会而削弱。当今世纪需要淡化矛盾,共谋发展,休闲成为了世界各国认同的新世纪主题,当代奥运会顺应这种世界潮流也表现出了休闲化的趋势,具体表现在大众对奥运会的态度和奥运主题上。

The first session of the Athens Olympic Games since the modern Olympics has gone through more than a century of history,in the ＂higher,faster,stronger＂Olympic slogan inspired athletes are through unremitting efforts to gradually improve athletic performance but human movement limit again being challenged. At the same time,the Olympics promote peace and multicultural harmony,but in the 100 years between the world and not a moment to stop the war,the Cold War and even contradictory national interests of regional conflicts between different cultural values and not because of the Olympics seem weaken. Today need desalination century conflicts,and seek common development,leisure has become the world recognized the theme of the new century,the Olympics comply with this contemporary world trends also showed a casual trend,this trend is embodied in the public attitude towards the Olympic Games,the Olympic itself and advocacy relating to other aspects of the reform of the Olympics.
