Venezuela's Economic Woe under the Perspective of“Resource Curse”

文中以"资源诅咒"假说为切入点,分析委内瑞拉近十年的数据,发现委内瑞拉存在资源诅咒的现象。数据显示,委内瑞拉经济高度依赖资源开采部门,国民受教育水平偏低,科研人员极度缺乏,腐败横行。委内瑞拉的困境还与其失败的经济政策有极大关系。因此,资源丰裕的国家应加大教育、科技投入,重视人力资本积累,创造高效、清廉的行政系统,使丰裕的自然资源成为经济发展的福音。

Seen from the hypothesis of＂resource curse＂and the latest research of this field,we＇ve found that Venezuela has been ＂cursed＂after observing its data from 2006 to 2015.The data show that Venezuela heavily depends its economy on the oil department,while suffering from low education level,extreme shortage of scientific research personnel and severe corruption.Venezuel＇s catastrophe has much to do with the failure of its economic policies.To make rich natural resources impetus to economic development,resource-rich countries should increase investment in education,science and technology,and to create efficient and incorruptible administration system as well.
