China has been undergoing a period of social and economic transformation and development. This is also true with the newly-established colleges, which are supposed to have transformed into an independent legal entities in order to go with the market economy. The basic route for the development of such colleges is to optimize the higher education management mode, to expand autonomy in the school- running, to gain access to the abundant resources in the market competition and social service, and finally, to realize the colleges＂ development with unique characteristics.
