The harm of mercury resulted from calcium carbide based PVC industry and the generation and treatment of wastewater containing mercury were introduced. The treatment process of wastewater containing mercury by double-effect co-current evaporation concentration system was described mainly. The treated wastewater was not discharged and could be fully reused, and some environmental benefits were produced.
