Objective:To discuss the effect of evidence - based nursing intervention on blood sugar control and psychological state of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods:84 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, 42 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care, while the observation group was given evidence - based nursing on the basis of routine nursing care. Then the differences in levels of blood glucose control and psychological state between the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results:After treatment, the self - rating anxiety scale (SAS) scores of the observation group and the control group were (38.5±5.6) and (46.5 ±5.8), and the self- rating depression scale (SDS) scores of the observation group and the control group were (43.6±6.1) and (54.3±6.4), with the differences of the two groups statistically significant ( P 〈0.05). The SAS score and SDS score of the two groups were significantly reduced after treatment compared with that before treatment, and the fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2h blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin were significantly lower than those of the control group ( P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion : Implementation of evi- dence -based nursing intervention in the treatment of senile diabetes can significantly improve patients' psychological state, control levels of blood glucose, which is of a high clinical value.
