Analysis and Enlightenment of the Internationalization Policy in the University of Western Australia

高校的国际化政策是学校发展水平的直观体现,反过来又直接影响学校未来的发展。澳大利亚高校国际化政策起步早,国际化程度高,率先实行了教育市场化,其高等教育展现出了蓬勃生机。在新时期,我国高校可以通过借鉴西澳大学国际化的先进经验,结合各自学校的特点,制定适合自身的国际化政策,可考虑从以下几方面进行:加强招生宣传、树立良好形象,增设留学生服务中心,继续推进校友会建设,加强留学生课程建设、完善教育体系,加强与政府的合作、在政府主导的项目中发展合作等。

The internationalization policy of universities representstheir development level, and also greatly influences their development in return. The internationalization policy in Australian universities started early. With its high degree of internationalization andeducation marketing, higher education shows its strong vitality. In the new situation, Chinese higher education institutes can use the internationalization experience from the University of Western Australia for reference andcom- bined with their own special characteristics to formulate suitable internationalization policy. The suggestions for China＇s colleges and universities are as follows. 1） to strengthen enrolling propaganda and establish a good image; 2） to increase service centers for overseas students, and keep carrying forward the construction of alumni association; 3） to reinforce curricula construction for overseas students and complete education system; and, 4） to enhance cooperation with government, and develop cooperation in government-led projects.
