This article introduces the history of 1949 Geneva Conventions, and emphasizes the important roles that the principles of military needs and humanity have played in this process ; and the main articles of the Conventions are also discussed. In the last section, the relationships between China and 1949 Geneva Conventions are reviewed, and the facts show that China has always complied with obligations under the Conventions.
