失踪的“块余生”——辛亥之前叶瀚史事补述与考订

Kuaiyusheng,"A Neglected Man":A Textual Research on the Historical Facts of Ye Han (叶瀚) before 1911

本文对清末教育界、出版界著名人物叶瀚在辛亥革命之前的史事进行补述与考订,发现了在叶瀚自述《块余生自纪》中或一笔带过、或全未提及,却是其人生道路上不可忽略的若干重要时间节点及事迹:早年因同乡之谊,叶瀚与汪康年、夏曾佑等士人发生交集,这种关系对于叶瀚的职业规划有着极为重要的影响;戊戌变法时期,汪康年依托其关系网络,对叶瀚的出版工作提供资助;庚子事变之后,叶瀚不仅参与汪康年策划的正气会和"中国议会"活动,还长期担任汪康年、汪诒年主持的《中外日报》主笔及翻译。通过辛亥之前叶瀚的经历可以看到,由地缘关系构建起来的交往基础,加上后天的教育和职业经历,使得由此形成的关系网络,极大地影响了个人的职业规划;对于社会组织的建立发展,也起到了至关重要的作用。

Ye Han was a famous educator and publishing specialist before 1911. He made fellow friendship with Wang Kangnian(汪康年) and Xia Zengyou(夏曾佑). This relationship played a key role concerning Ye Han's professional intention. Through Ye Han's experience before 1911,contact based on geopolitical relations and acquired education and occupation led to two results: first,the human relation network had great influence on personal occupation planning; second,this network was crucial for the establishment and development of the social organizations.
