Eugene O＇Neill as the founder of American drama,in many of his works,shaped the different images of women,they all showing the characteristics of O＇Neill＇s tragedy. T.his paper attempts to analyze the two heroines Josie and Mary of ＂A Moon for the Misbegotten＂ and ＂Long Day＇s Journey into Night＂ the two plays,and reveal O＇Neill＇s view of women and common characters,trying to trace the origin of feminism.
