思想史进程下的“韦柳”之辩与拟古之别

Debates on Poems by Wei Yingwu and Liu Zongyuan

苏轼论唐诗,李、杜之外,最重韦应物和柳宗元,苏轼评韦、柳诗,着意于"简古""澹泊"的拟古之作,后世的韦、柳高下之辩,也主要就二人拟古诗而言。争论柳在韦上抑或韦在柳上,评论的立场与论者所处时代的诗学思路和评论语境相关,也应将韦应物、柳宗元二人的拟古诗置于思想史发展进程的大视野之下进行观照,扬弃简单的高下对比观念,不以单一标准进行衡量和评价。

Su Shi thought that renowned poets in the Tang Dynasty were Li Bai and Du Fu, followed by Wei Yingwu and Liu Zongyuan. His comments focused on ＂simple classic＂ and ＂leisure tranquility＂ in the poems imitating clas- sics by Wei and Liu. Later debates were also mainly on their imitation poems. The position of the comments was closely tied up with the poetic ideas and comment-related context of the commentators. The imitative poems should also be commented in the development of the ideological history --- abandoning the concept of who was the best, and the single or simple evaluation standard.
