摘要
Water oxidation is a 4-electron uphill energy process thatlargely limits the overall water splitting reaction thermody-namically and kinetically [1]. Photocurrent measurementis one of the most important approaches to evaluate the per-formance of a photoanode. It has been well realized thatphotocurrent may render exaggerated performance whenphotocorrosion of electrode occurs, such as the case of ZnOand CdS or when sacrificial reagents are present in the elec-trolyte. However, the choice of electrolyte could be anothervery important but easily overlooked issue for the valid in-terpretation of photocurrent.
