婚姻与幸福感:基于WVS的中国微观数据

Marriage and Happiness

本文运用世界价值观调查(WVS)中国部分的数据,采用OLS、Ordered Logit和Ordered Probit三种估计方法,实证检验婚姻与幸福感之间的关系。计量结果表明,婚姻对幸福感有显著的正向影响。女性的婚姻幸福感要高于男性,孩子会降低婚姻的幸福感,收入会影响婚姻幸福感,低收入者相比中等收入者的婚姻幸福感下降,而高收入者与中等收入者的婚姻幸福感无显著差别。本文探讨了婚姻促进幸福感的两种机制,一是婚姻能增进健康对幸福感的促进作用,二是婚姻能增进工作的幸福感。

Based on the data concerning China in the World Values Survey（WVS）,using three estimation methods—OLS,Ordered Logit and Ordered Probit,this paper verifies the relationship between marriage and happiness.The result shows that marriage has significant positive effects on happiness.Women have higher marital satisfaction than men,the children will lower marital satisfaction,income will also affect marital satisfaction,while there is no significant difference of marital satisfaction between the high-income and the middle-income,the low-income have lower marital satisfaction compared to the middleincome.We discussed two mechanisms explaining why marriage could promote well-being,firstly,the marriage can enhace the health’s promoting function to happiness.Secondly,the marriage can improve the happiness of work.
