To make the dream come true,Jinan has entered a new phase of full implementation for the strategic plan of urban development with joint efforts and close collaboration of the whole society.In the theory-discussing meetingon 'Emancipating the Mind' convoked in June 2015 in Jinan,Wang Wentao,the member of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of Jinan Municipal Committee,proposed to position Jinan's development by 'constructing the modern City of the Springs by building four centers',which is to build Jinan into an important regional economic center,financial center,logistics center and scientific innovation center,and to construct a modern city suitable for Shandong province's economic and cultural development.The year 2016 is crucial for Jinan to fully implement the strategy of 'Create Four Centers,Building Modern Jinan'.The city put forward the three-year outline of the program that involves 4aspects and 22 actions for constructing the modem city of Jinan by building four centers,establishing the index system of construction and the statistical monitor system,strengthening the three key works regarding business and investment promotion,projects construction and renovation of shanty areas,implementing the three major schemes of fighting against smog,traffic jam and poverty.Concentrating on economic development,urban development and social development,the outline of the action plan will ensure to maintain a good momentum of growth in the first year,to achieve initial results in the second year and to make breakthroughs in the third year. 'A city's own dreams,pursuits and confidence encourage its dynamic growth.' Now Jinan city with a population of over7 million is currently undergoing a period of rapid development,driven by its great ambition and self-confidence.
