Research on the Development and Evolution of the New Bibliographic Framework BIBFRAME——Also on the Improvement of MARC and RDA

在MARC格式书目数据已经滞后于语义网技术的要求的当下,文章首先探讨新型书目框架BIBFRAME的发展历程以及对编目、检索的影响,然后重点分析其模型架构、核心元素及开放关联特征,深入对比其与MARC及RDA之不同。在此基础上,详尽阐述其核心类的发展演化情况,并剖析其内在原因。最后结合当前编目实际情况,预测其实施过程可能遇到的困难及未来发展方向。

The current MARC format have fallen far behind the requirements of Semantic Web technologies. The library community is trying to find a new bibliographic linked data model to replace MARC. In this context, this paper first briefly discussed the development of the new bibliographic framework BIBFRAME and the influences on the tataloguing and retrieval in library, and then emphatically analyzed its architecture, core elements and open linked characteristics, and compared the differences with MARC and RDA in detail. On this basis, the paper not only elaborated the development and evolution of its core classes, but also analyzed the behind internal reasons. In the end, combined with the actual situation of cataloguing, the paper still predicted the possible difficulties during the actual implementation process, and pointed out the future trends.
